Emerald’s Infinity Reels: Relax Gaming first Infinity Reels slot

I like that they’re not afraid to be the first (or close to being the first) with new concepts. They were one of the first to buy a Megaways license from Big Time Gaming. They were the first to buy the Megaclusters concept, and now Relax Gaming is also at the forefront with the new Infinity Reels mechanic, where they got Reel Play’s permission to have a go.

Will the Infinity Reels become the new Megaways? The million-dollar question and only time will tell. The concept has tremendous potential.

Emerald’s Infinity Reels is indeed a brave attempt at this new concept. However, somewhere down the line, I feel Relax Gaming could have made more out of it.

Perhaps it has to do with my high expectations after seeing Relax Gaming’s excellent slots like Money Train 2, Multiplier Odessey or Kluster Krystals Megaclusters.

The good news is the win potential of Emerald’s Infinity Reels. It’s possible to land over 24 thousand times the stake.

It’s an Infinity Reels slot, where you see three reels with four symbols each.

Unlike the first Infinity Reels slots (for example Netent’s Gods of Gold Infinireels), you don’t see the number of reels expand, following wins. Instead, you see the leftmost reel disappear following a win, whilst at the same time, a new reel (the rightmost one) appears.

The idea of this slot is to collect winning symbols. It works as follows. If you have a win (if you have matching symbols on all three reels), you’ll see the leftmost reel disappear. The winning symbols from that reel are collected.

Afterwards, you get a free re-spin (called a lucky re-spin) where you see a new reel appear on the right. If the new leftmost reel has the same winning symbol, it’s collected again.

And it goes on (potentially till infinity) as long as you land one or more matching symbols, or a Bonus symbol, or a 2x multiplier symbol, on the rightmost reel.

The three high’s are Emerald, a jug (of beer) and a pipe. Each Emerald symbol you collect is good for 3x.

So if you collect 10 of those, your win is 30x. With the 2x multiplier symbols (which you can land till infinity), your win can increase exponentially! As an example: if you collect 10 Emerald symbols and five x2 multipliers, your win is 2x2x2x2x2x30=960x.

The three lows are the red, yellow and green gems.

If you collect 3 Bonus symbols, you win 12 free spins. During the free spins, you retrigger another 2 free spins for each Bonus symbol that you collected. It won’t come with a surprise that this is without limits!

The free spins play the same way as the main game, but the difference is that an x2 multiplier is applied to all collected symbols won during the free spins!
