How does the Perfect Gems video slot work?
Anyone who has played Bonanza or Extra Chilli will immediately recognize the setup of Perfect Gems.
There are two sets of reels:
- One set of 6 reels with varying height
- One reel with 4 symbols is placed above the bigger set of reels.
Together, the two sets can create winning combinations. Each symbol on the bigger set of reels directly below the same symbol on the single reel splits into two identical symbols.
This can result in so many more ways to win: up to 21,609 ways.
Winning symbols dissolve and make way for new ones. On the top reel, new symbols are added from right to left. On the large set of reels, symbols drop down.
There is also a multiplier, which is increased by +1 after each winning spin. As soon as a spin does not result in more winning combinations any more, the multiplier is reset to 1.
You can bet with fixed amounts per spin: from $€ 0,10 up to $€ 100.
The variance is high, and the theoretical payout rate is 96.50%.
Symbols and payouts
In terms of symbols, Perfect Gems keeps it very simple. There are gems and card symbols. Hmmm, does that sound familiar?
The blue gems are worth the most and are also the only symbols that reward you from 2 symbols onwards. If you spin 6 of them, then this will award you 25 x the total bet.
The other gems are worth between 2 x and 4 x the total bet for 6-of-a-kind.
Do you spin 6 x a 9, 10, J, Q, K or A? Then you can add between 0.8 x and 1 x the bet per winning combination to your credit.
