Wild Blood 2 slot review (Play’n GO)

Eight years later, we are once again treated to vampires, beautiful ladies, handsome gentlemen and a little bit of horror. It’s a formula that has repeatedly proven itself, whether it’s with a television series, a Hollywood movie or, in this case, an online slot. Is Wild Blood 2 as good as its ancestor was?

Wild Blood 2 is Play’n GO’s long-awaited sequel to the Wild Blood video slot, which dates way back to 2012.

Wild Blood 2 is another well-crafted Play’n GO slot game, although we feel that they could have turned it into an even more enjoyable slot with just a little more effort.

The RTP, Variance (volatility) & Maximum win of Wild Blood 2

The payout percentage is 96.18%, which is acceptable but not outstanding.

We have seen Play n GO slots with higher RTP’s.

Please note there are versions in circulation that pay out considerably less.

This difference can amount to RTP’s of 86% or less, which is disastrous and plain robbery.

The maximum win is 5,000x the bet, which is pretty high and matches that of slots like Book of Dead, Black Mamba or Sabaton.

According to Play ‘n GO, the variance (volatility) of Wild Blood 2 is medium, which is a bit surprising, given the relatively high maximum win of 5,000x the bet.

It implies that the chances of winning such a high price must be very small with Wild Blood 2.

We expect that the top prizes are more than 500x the bet, and very occasionally, a win reaching 1,000x the bet might be possible.

Check high-variance Play ‘n GO slots if you prefer to play more thrilling slots with higher volatility.

Wild Blood 2 gameplay & features

Wild Blood 2 is a win-all-ways slot.

There are 6 reels, each with 4 symbols on it.

Because winning combinations can drop crisscross, there are 4,096 ways to win.

As with many Play’n GO slots, the betting range is between $€ 0.10 and $€ 100 per spin.

Symbols & payouts

The handsome male vampire is the wild symbol, and he replaces all symbols except the scatters.

If he appears as stacked wild on the 6th role, he flies to the 1st role to cover it completely, rewarding you with a free respin.

Although this feature is not very complicated and relatively common, it does yield a reasonable price now and then.

The game’s highest-value symbols are the three beautiful ladies with equally impressive names: Laura, Margaret, and Rebecca.

A 6-of-a-kind earns you 7.5 x  the total bet.

The medium symbols consist of a skull and a dagger, and the five-card symbols are the low symbols.

The medium-paying symbols are worth between 3 x and 6 x the bet, and the card symbols return a maximum of 2 x up to 3 x the stake for six identical ones.

Choose from 3 free spins bonuses

If you can spin 3, 4, 5 or 6 tubes with a red potion, you have reached the free spins bonus.

The more scatters have activated the bonus, the more free spins you get.

There are three different free spins bonuses to choose from:

  • Laura: each single wilds expand up or down
  • Margaret: Save wilds and earn extra multipliers and more free spins
  • Rebecca: the wilds contain an x2 or x3 multiplier

It is possible to retrigger the free spins.

Not every bonus feature has the same risk profile.

The Rebecca feature can certainly yield the most, but she can also cause you the most grief. So that you know.

Our verdict on the Wild Blood 2 slot

Since we are big fans of the original Wild Blood slot, we were curious if Swedish developers would surprise us with another top 10 Play’n GO slot?

We were excited: this slot has attractive bonus features, respins and options.

Will Wild Blood 2 become a real classic?

That’s going to be tricky: we’re missing the depth for that to happen; the base game’s gameplay and bonus features feel just a tad too shallow.

Despite this point of criticism, we certainly had a good time and even grabbed some coins.

What more can we wish for?
