King of Slots is a “Spin as long as you win” type Netent slot

The game mechanic is similar to popular slots such as Jack Hammer and Jack Hammer 2.

The theming of the slot is quite weak, with some symbols and artwork related to riches and royalty like crowns, jewels and an onlooking King and other symbols that are just entirely not related to the theme.

Unfortunately, unlike the highly polished Jack Hammer slots, King of Slots does not have a storyline or intro movie. It is just there.

Sticky Win Feature

The whole slot revolves around the Sticky Win feature: a winning bet line or three or more Scatter symbols triggers the Sticky Win feature. The reels with winning symbols are held, and all other reels re-spin for a chance of more significant wins. The reels keep re-spinning as long as there are new wins. When no new wins are generated, and the Sticky Win feature ends, all active wins are paid.

The Wild symbol substitutes for all symbols except the Scatter symbol. The highest paying symbol is the Crown symbol, which pays 1,000 times your line bet. Other “big” symbols are the Water Melon, Lemon and Cherry symbols.

Free Spins Bonus

In the main game and Free Spins, 5 or more Scatter symbols trigger the free spins bonus. The more scatter symbols you hit, the more free spins you will get, up to a maximum of 30 free spins (9 Scatters or more). Additional Free Spins can be won during Free Spins. All wins are tripled during the Free Spin Feature (x3), except for additional free spins. Additional free spins won are not multiplied by the Free Spins multiplier.

King of Slots: our verdict

We found this Netent slot to be very mediocre. The Sticky Win feature is nothing new, and the shoddy graphics and weak sounds do not help things. It just seems to have been put together very hastily without any attention to detail, storyline or entertainment value.

King of Slots might very well appeal to the high roller player: it has an outstanding return to player of 97.0% and a maximum bet of $250. Don’t get us wrong: the potential for big wins is undoubtedly there with King of Slots. The respin feature and the 25 win lines will take care of that.

Just don’t expect to be entertained or awed when playing this slot.
