Street Magic slot review (Play’n GO)
These performers have become extremely popular by showing their supposedly spontaneous magic tricks to unwitting passers-by and letting the audience witness these unsuspecting participants’ reactions. Chris Angel has even managed to parlay this into a very well-paid show in Las Vegas for years. Not the greatest show we feel. There are way more fun things to do in Las Vegas.Play Now

Street Magic is inspired by street illusionists like Chris Angel and David Blaine; it even uses the title of Blaine’s first tv special
So now a video slot has been released about this kind of exploits, replete with a mysterious and slightly creepy street illusionist. Why these guys always have to look at you in such a disturbing way remains a mystery to us.
We get that it is all extraordinary, but we surely don’t want to feel we could become the victim of murder.
How does the Street Magic slot work?
Street Magic has 20 fixed paylines and is played on 5 reels with 3 rows of symbols.
You can place bets as low as $€ 0.20 and as high as $€ 100 per spin.
The theoretical payout rate of Street Magic is officially pegged at 96.48%, but Play’n GO’s slots frequently seem to have different percentages per individual license. So, it would behoove you to check the rules in the agreement first. If there is no RTP mentioned, you can proceed on the assumption that the payout rate will be considerably less than the earlier mentioned 96.48%.
Symbols and payouts
It is self-evident that the symbols are associated with the street magic theme.
The main part is reserved for the magician; I beg your pardon, illusionist, himself.
He is not only wild but is also used as a scatter symbol.
There are also regular wild symbols, besides the magician. These are the golden cards, and they will payout 25 x the bet when getting 5-of-a-kind.
The signet ring symbol will also payout 25 x the total bet every time you spin 5 identical symbols on an active payline.
The medium symbols consist of a clock, a lock, a dagger and a set of handcuffs. Should the average person carry these items with them on the street, that would be enough to be seriously questioned by the police? Of course, this is never a problem for the street magic man. These symbols will pay out between 4x and 15 x the total bet.
De card symbols representing the suits: hearts, spades, diamonds and clubs are the low symbols. These pay out 1 x the bet.
With 2 scattered illusionists, you win 1 of the mini features:
- The illusionists change into expanding wilds.
- The illusionist conjures up 4 extra wilds onto the reels.
- The illusionist performs his magic, adds an extra scatter on the screen and activates the free spin bonus.
Free spin bonus
The free spin bonus consists of 8, 10 or 12 free spins.
To determine that number, you have to pick 1 of 3 cards.
The card you really want out of these 3 is the 1 that will make the wilds sticky during the free spins. If you succeed in creating a so-called wild line (5 wilds on an active payline) and you still have some additional free spins, then you will get 25 x the bet per wild line, per free spin. Not exactly Dead or Alive, but it can add up quite nicely nonetheless.
The free spin bonus can be retriggered once.
Our verdict on the Street Magic video slot?
Street magic is quite a fun slot. We just are not enamoured by these creepy street illusionists, with their bling, jet black dyed hair and sinister tattoos.
But that is admittedly our personal opinion.
The slot itself is really good, with lots of bonus features and a lucrative free spin bonus round if you manage to grab the sticky wild option.
