Now, Ozzy Osbourne, who became famous as a Black Sabbath singer and later even more famous as a solo artist, finally got his well deserved own slot, courtesy of Netent.

We had high expectations when we heard about Netent’s Ozzy Osbourne slot. If you remember, Netent’s Guns N’ Roses slot is one of the best online slots ever made.

The Ozzy Osbourne slot is good, but not great.

Did Netent meet those high expectations? Not quite.

Ozzy Osbourne has some nice finds and exciting features, but it lacks the X-factor (sorry Sharon!).

And why don’t you hear that superb, mother-of-all-riffs intro to Crazy Train as soon as you open the game? That would have set the tone right away.

Fortunately, we get to listen to this classic rock song later in the game.

What are the theoretical RTP, the variance and the maximum win of the Ozzy Osbourne Slot?

As just mentioned, the RTP of this Netent slot is an excellent 96.67%, as long as you have activated the Bonus Bet. Otherwise, the RTP is 96.30%.

The maximum win is 10,000 x the total bet on this slot, but that seems more of a decoy than a real chance.

We see it more and more often with online slots: slot providers promote the slot with enormous prizes, but in practice, this is only the case in, say, one every billion spins.

Symbols and payouts

If you hadn’t noticed that this slot is about Ozzy Osbourne, you will, once you see the symbols.

There are no less than four different Ozzy symbols, which payout between 250 and 1,000 coins when a 5-of-a-kind is on an active payline.

This boils down to wins of 12,5x to 50x the bet in the Regular game (coin value is 20). When the Bonus bet is activated, these wins are equal to 6,25x to 25x the bet (with a coin value of 40).

The low symbols consist of a crow, a skull, a cross and a rose. Spin five of the same, and you win between 100 and 150 coins.

The bat with the devil’s horns is wild and replaces all symbols except the scatters.

Our verdict of the Ozzy Osbourne slot

Ozzy Osbourne will definitely appeal to Ozzy’s many fans, but it hasn’t blown our minds away.

Somehow, despite all the Ozzy symbols in the game and the soundtrack of the self-proclaimed “Prince of Darkness” himself, we find ourselves missing a little too much of Ozzy Osbourne himself. A bit more fun, a little more real clips and a wild intro would have helped.

It is a bit unfortunate that the minimum bet is $€0.40 (rather than $€0.20) if you want to activate the Bonus Bet (which has more free spins and a better RTP).

The variance is high. That is excellent news for the real thrill-seekers. If you don’t get that massive win, the downside is that your balance will evaporate quickly.
