Vegas Night Life slot review (Netent)

As expected, Netent does not leave the progressive slot players behind. So, here we have the Vegas Night Life progressive Jackpot slot! Whereas some ten years ago, Jackpot slots were pretty simple in terms of gameplay, things have changed in the latest years. For the better! Jackpot slots get more and more features, and that’s also the case with this slot.

Vegas Night Life online slot (Netent) – it’s more than just a progressive Jackpot slot.

The theme appeals to most of us, I guess.

In the background, you spot the famous Las Vegas attractions such as the Eiffel Tower, the Statue of Liberty in front of New York Hotel and Casino, Paris Hotel and Casino (with the famous Blue Balloon), and the High Roller observation wheel!

The progressive Mega Jackpot is the main catch of this slot.

Of every staked $€100, a hefty $€3.7 is set aside for the Jackpot.

It allows the Jackpot to grow faster, and there are no limits when it comes to the size.

Vegas Night Life – Gameplay and Features

It’s a slot with five reels and three rows of symbols, and there are 20 fixed paylines.

The four high-paying symbols are a Sports Car, a Ring, a Watch, and a Champagne bottle.

The four low-paying symbols are the card suits (Spades, Hearts, Diamonds, and Clubs).

Furthermore, you have Wild symbols (golden letters “WILD”), and these replace all symbols except the Scatters.

The Scatters are casino chips with the letters “SCATTER.”

Pick me symbols

You need to hope that you spin the Scatters sooner, rather than later, as the main game is far from exciting.

If you get 3, 4, or 5 scatters, you may (or must) turn one scatter around.

With this “pick,” you get to access one of the following three features:

  • Instant Win Feature
  • Free Spins
  • Cash Stackers

You need to play the Cash Stackers if you want to win the Jackpot.

Please allow me to explain the features in more detail below.

The Instant Win Feature

You get a cash win if you spin 3, 4, or 5 scatters and activate the Instant Win Feature.

Of the three features, this one is the least exciting.

The amount of the cash win depends on how many scatters you spin.

  • 3 scatters: cash win is between 7.5x and 250x.
  • 4 scatters: cash win is between 15x and 500x
  • 5 scatters: cash win is between 30x and 1000x

The Free Spins

If you spin 3, 4, or 5 scatters (and you open the scatter symbol that activates the free spins), you get 5, 10, or 20 free spins.

The gameplay is identical to the main game, but now you get a  multiplier of x3 on your wins.

How nice is that!

The Cash Stackers

Now you get a playing field that has the shape of a tower.

There are five reels, with room for 5, 6, 7, 6, and 5 symbols.

Now Dollar symbols drop.

It continues until you fail to get new Dollar symbols for three consecutive times.

The Dollar symbols have cash wins between 0.25x and 15x the bet.

The nice thing is that when the bottom two rows are full, the cash wins of the 2nd row from below are multiplied by x2.

If the bottom three rows are full, the cash wins of the 3rd row from below multiply by x3.

And that goes on until you get the bottom five rows full of cash wins.

In that case, the cash wins of the 5th row from below are multiplied by a hefty x5!

But there is more.

If you get reel two filled with cash wins (that’s six symbols), you win the Mini Jackpot (10x the bet).

The same applies to the fourth reel, but now you win the Midi Jackpot of 30x the bet.

Should you be so lucky to fill the whole middle reel full with cash wins (7 symbols in total), you land the Mega Jackpot, the progressive jackpot.

I bet you’ll turn Las Vegas upside down if that happens!

Payout percentage (RTP)

The RTP of Vegas Night Life is 96%, of which 3.7% is set aside for the Progressive Jackpot.

Vegas Night Life slot – the variance is medium.

According to Netent, the variance of Vegas Night Life is medium.

But that excludes the Mega Jackpot.

Most top wins (excluding the Jackpot) will be around 250x to 500x the bet.

Pros and cons

  • Attractive bonus features with plenty of variety
  • The Mega Jackpot can grow pretty fast!
  • Even though an RTP of 96% is not spectacular, it is certainly not bad for a progressive Jackpot. Did you, for example, know that the RTP of the famous and most popular Jackpot slot Mega Moolah is a pitiful 88.12%? You won’t hear online casinos complain!

  • A significant drawback is that, if you stake low (e.g. twenty cents per spin), your odds of landing the Jackpot are many times smaller than if you bet high (e.g. ten euros or more per spin).
  • The result is that if you’re a “small” player, that you’re funding the high rollers.

So, who’ll like the slot? And who won’t?

If you like progressive jackpot slots, you’ll like this slot, for sure!

But if you don’t, there is little point in playing this slot.
