Are the RTP’s of their slots any good?
Red Tiger Gaming has made ground in no time. They started releasing slots as of 2016, and up until December 2020, we’ve already seen 150 slots. The pace is enormous. After Netent acquired Red Tiger Gaming in September 2019, they continued to deliver slots at that pace. Play Red Tiger Gaming slots at Oshi Casino, Zet Casino, LeoVegas Casino and iLucki Casino.
The good news was that Red Tiger already managed to get the Megaways license. Afterwards, we got Megaways versions of some Netent classics.
We were spoiled with Piggy Riches Megaways and Gonzo’s Quest Megaways. The latter is one of the best Megaways slots we’ve come across so far.
The next obvious question is how Red Tiger Gaming performs regarding their slots’ payout rates. Are these above or below average?
Below, we have the Return to Player (RTP’s) of all 150 Red Tiger Gaming slots. I compared these with the RTP’s all other slots of 23 slot providers (almost 1700 slots). From 2012 till the end of 2020.
With regret, we see that most of the Red Tiger Gaming slots (check the red coloured dots) have an RTP well below the average RTP (the green line) of all slots. And it gets worse. Since mid-2019 (when Netent acquired Red Tiger Gaming), most of their slots got an RTP way below the critical 96% mark.
Indeed, you should question why you should play these slots if there are plenty of slots out there with superior payout percentages.
The importance of a higher RTP
The higher the RTP, the better it is. Take, for example, a slot with an RTP of 96%. In that case, you can expect to lose $€4 after every $€100 you stake. If the RTP be 97% instead, you would “only” lose $€3 on average.
It matters. You may have a starting balance of $€100, but your total wager during a session can easily top $€500. Don’t forget you stake your winnings, as well.
- If the RTP is 96%, your expected loss is: $€500 x 4% = $€ 20
- If the RTP is 97%, your expected loss is: $€500 x 3% = $€ 15
You can see that the difference is already more considerable. And it will be more and more.
To avoid doubt, the RTP is not the same as the slot’s volatility (or variance). Variance says something about the variation of the sizes of wins. High volatility slots pay more top prizes (but less often). Low variance slots pay smaller prizes and more often.
The top 10 Red Tiger Gaming slots with the highest RTP
Below, we have the top 10 Red Tiger Gaming slots list with the highest Return to Player. I checked all Red Tiger Gaming slots up to May 2021.
The two best paying slots are Jackpot Quest and Ocean Fortune, with an RTP of 96.30%. And these are their best paying slots of the 172(!) slots. Can you imagine?
It’s indeed disappointing that their top paying slots all have RTP’s of an average online slot. I hoped to see at least a few slots with an outstanding RTP, but it’s not to be.

Below we have the ten slots with the lowest RTP’s. Even though many Red Tiger Gaming slots score well, you already saw that it´s not the case for all of them! Below is a list of Red Tiger Gaming slots you want to avoid. And there are some real stinkers here, with theoretical payout rates way below par.
And yes, it is also essential to know which slots you can better avoid.
Below we have the ten slots with the lowest RTP’s. It would be best if you avoided Ancient Script due to its terrible RTP of 93.20%. But you see that the others have RTP’s barely exceeding 95.5%. I could easily have made a list of 70 plus slots of those below the 96% mark. It’s simply not good enough!
Red Tiger G. – worst-paying slots | Year | RTP |
1. Ancient Script | 2016 | 93.20% |
2. Laser Fruit | 2018 | 95.07% |
3. Masquerade | 2017 | 95.12% |

Conclusions – The RTP’s of Red Tiger Gaming slots are below par
And worse, their newest slots all (no exceptions) have low RTP’s, well below the 96% mark.
Below you find some links overviews of the RTP’s of other leading providers, with mostly more generous RTP’s!
