The playing field of the Big Top video slot looks like a circus tent. You play the game on the standard 5 reels and 3 rows grid with symbols mainly related to the circus theme. There are only nine variable paylines to create winning combinations.
You can create winning combinations from left to right on the reels. The scatter symbol is the exception to the rule. They can drop anywhere on a reel to award you a prize. You do need at least 2 to 3 of the same symbols on the reels to grab a prize.
You can not set the coin size for the number of paylines you want to play; by default, this is fixed at one coin per spin. With all nine paylines active, the minimum bet will cost you $€ 2.25 per spin. For an entry-level bet, that is expensive. The maximum bet is $€ 45 per spin.

The low-value symbols consisting of the well-known card symbols A, K, Q, J and 10 are also in play. These low-value symbols will award you 3.33 x your total bet tops for a five-of-a-kind.
You can recognize the Wild symbol by the clown a Wild label underneath. The Wild symbol replaces all other symbols except the scatter symbol.
The Big Top scatter is a missed opportunity for this slot to create a bit of excitement. Spinning at least three scatter symbols does not activate a bonus feature or anything like it. You can only hit a prize up to 50 x the total bet.
Our verdict on the Big Top video slot
My Microgaming video slots experience is they either produce big hits or total flops, with nothing in between.
Unfortunately, the Big Top video slot belongs to the latter category, and perhaps it even makes it to the top of the flops.
The game has no bonus features, and the prizes you can win cannot excite me.
There is nothing Big nor Top about this video slot, so what inspired the Microgaming developers to come up with this name is beyond us. Big Top, no; Big Flop, yes!
