We usually get a little nervous with these yellow and black flying critters in the air, but you have nothing to worry about with Wild Swarm.

These bees actually take care of wilds, and in the bonus game, they even become sticky wilds. Besides that, these busy bees save up for your saving bonus, with higher chances to win.

Wild Swarm’s payout rate is excellent: on average, this video slot pays out a very healthy 97.03% of all bets back to the player.

How does the Wild Swarm slot work?

Wild Swarm is played on 5 reels with 4 rows of symbols. There are 20 fixed paylines, and you play along for a minimum of $€ 0.20 and a maximum of $€ 100 per spin.

Symbols and payouts

The bee might be small, but it has a nasty sting: it is wild and replaces all other symbols, except the scatter symbol.

The high-value symbols occur in stacks, which means you can take home some huge payouts even in the primary game.

The Honeycomb symbol is the highest paying symbol of the bunch. If you manage to spin 5-of-a-kind on an active payline, you grab yourself a prize of 30 x the bet. If you happen to have the ultimate stroke of luck in that you spin a screen filled with honeycombs, then you can add 20 x 30 = 600 x your total bet to your balance. With the maximum bet that would boil down to a payout of $€ 60,000! Even with a minimum of $€ 0.20, it is still good for a win of $€ 120.

The other high-value symbols consist of the bee, a pot of honey and two colourful flowers. These symbols pay between 7 x and 15 x the total bet with 5 identical ones.

The low-value symbols consist of the card symbols J, Q, K and A – these are worth 2 x and 3 x the bet.

Win Mystery prizes

The purple jewellery box appears regularly on the reels and grants you a mystery prize.

You are given a choice of 5 different boxes, inside of which a prize is hidden:

• A money prize

• An extra upgrade on the Swarm Boost meter

Free spin bonus: up to 14 free spins with sticky wilds

As soon as 3, 4 or 5 scatters land on the screen, you win 7, 10 or 14 free spins.

The Swarm Mode

On the top right-hand side of your screen, you see a savings meter. Every time a bee appears on the screen, it tops up the meter by 1. This does not go very fast, but there’s a reason.

Our verdict on the Wild Swarm video slot

Push Gaming changed its strategy in 2018. They focused on slots that were big on entertainment and low on variance (think of Gems of the Gods and Peter and the Lost Boys. Now, they mainly release slots that can pay out an awful lot of money.

We already witnessed this with Tiki Tumble and Fat Rabbit, two slots where you can win the value of your bet many thousands of times over.

This Wild Swarm also has a good variance, albeit slightly lower than those previously mentioned slots.

But if you get a hold of a great bonus round with lots of extra wilds, the payouts can ratchet up very fast.

Wild Swarm is an enjoyable and well-executed slot that will appeal to a broad range of players.
