We’ve got a bit of a love-hate relationship with Amatic slots.

Sometimes their slots look like an intern designed them and were only made to function as money guzzlers.

But there are also plenty of Amatic slots that are extremely fun to play. Super Cats is one of them.

Amatic had already released a video slot about cats: Diamond Cats. But while this slot was about spoiled, cuddly and neatly coiffured cats, Super Cats is a whole different kettle of fish.

Super Cats evolves around dangerous, wild jungle cats, such as the tiger, cheetah, lynx and puma.

The game mechanism is mostly the same: big money can be made with the free spins bonus, plus you get free spins with sticky wilds.

The gamble feature has disappeared from the game, but a lucrative mini bonus feature has replaced it: the Power Spins. We’ll tell you all about it in a minute.

How does the Super Cats slot work?

Symbols and payouts

The wild symbol replaces all other symbols, except the scatters.

The Mayan priestess, with her brilliant colours and stunning facial traits, looks incredibly beautiful. Therefore, it seems legit that she is worth the most of all symbols: 5 of the same on an active payline will earn you 700 x the total bet. That is if you have played with at least 20 paylines.

The six wild cats are the premium symbols of this entertaining video slot.

They award between 15 x and 25 x the total bet for 5-of-a-kind.

Finally, we’ve got the card symbols: if you spin a 10, J, Q, K or A on an active payline 5x, you win between 5 x and 10 x the total bet. Again: only if all 20 paylines are active. If you play with 10 paylines, then the calculation is different.

Free Spins Bonus: Up to 25 spins with sticky wilds.

The free spins bonus of this slot can be extremely lucrative. Thus, it is always exhilarating. However, a drawback is the very long time it sometimes takes before this bonus hits the reels. And even if the free spins bonus appears, there is no guarantee for success.

Our verdict on the Super Cats slot by Amatic

Super Cats is a very successful release of Amatic. It is a lot cooler than its predecessor while still being just as lucrative.

We find the addition of the Power Spins an improvement as well: it feels like a surprise gift that can land you decent cashouts at times.
